Blog For Choice Day 2012

Today is the 39th anniversary of Row vs. Wade, giving women control of their own reproductive abilities and access to family planning resources.

I just wanted to take a moment to remind readers how important it is that we support candidates that believe women have the right to choose, and talk candidly about the issue.  Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not fan of abortion – and I don’t think any woman is.  I don’t think that is a decision that any woman could ever make easily.  That being said, the ability to have that choice should you need it is one of the great advantages of living in this country.  Access to family planning is also crucial in helping women take charge of the bodies and controlling their reproductive capabilities.  And as women, we need to support one another, despite our differences.

I could go on about the issue, but really I just want to make sure that anyone, man or woman, that believes that women have the inalienable right to control their own reproductive abilities and the right to access to family planning resources, stands up for that belief and does their homework in choosing candidates that also support that belief.

That’s all for now – back to our regularly programed material shortly.

Until next time,

Carianne
